A Fusion of Texture, Form, and Color

Inspired by our previous designs, we developed a deep appreciation for the intricate webbing aesthetic that first proved successful in our Web Chair. When our friends at Glass Cypress (Houston, TX) approached us to create a centerpiece vase for their new boutique storefront, we were thrilled to take on the challenge.

Drawing from the rich textures and vibrant colors that define Glass Cypress’s aesthetic, we set out to create a design that would be just as captivating and bold. Using a form of slip casting, we began with a large cylindrical form capable of holding bouquets of various sizes, from small to large. However, the complex angles and details made the creation process anything but simple.

Despite the challenges, the final piece beautifully embodies both our design philosophy and the boutique’s distinctive style, becoming an ideal centerpiece that harmonizes with its surroundings.
